YOUTH WIND ORCHESTRA

The Castle Hill RSL Youth Wind Orchestra (YWO) is regarded as one of Australia’s finest symphonic wind orchestras. It regularly participates in state and national band championships and is dedicated to providing outstanding grounding in wind orchestra repertoire.

The diverse selection of repertoire has allowed young musicians to experience musical excellence combined with a great social environment in this 65-piece community wind orchestra.

With one 2.5-hour rehearsal a week, the YWO has an extensive annual performance calendar of 20-30 engagements each year. The members range in age from as young as 11 to 18 years of age.
