Suze DeMarchi’s reputation as a fierce and inspiring front woman remains undiminished, her rapport with songwriting partner and guitarist, the legendary Dave Leslie, as dynamic as ever.
Baby Animals emerged on the Australian music scene in 1991 and delivered four massive hits off their debut album. They also picked up three ARIA Awards in 1992, for Album Of The Year, Breakthrough Artist Of The Year – Album and Breakthrough Artist of The Year – single for “Early Warning”. Their self-titled album was also named in the 100 Best Australian albums. Their second album ‘Shaved And Dangerous” reached No. 2 and their 2013 album, ‘This Is Not The End’ reached top 20.
The band, featuring DeMarchi, Leslie, drummer Mick Skelton and bassist Dario Bortolin, is currently writing for a new album and as frontwoman Suze DeMarchi states, “playing our asses off!”.
Queen is amongst the greatest rock bands of the twentieth century, and Freddie Mercury is hailed by many as the most charismatic and flamboyant performer in contemporary rock.
Perhaps their biggest performance event was their 1986 concert at Wembley Stadium, which was Queen's last ever tour. INXS and Status Quo were the supporting acts.
Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody, seen as the best Queen show in Australia if not the world, relives the concert at Wembley Stadium.
It features Thomas Crane, who is arguably the best Freddie Mercury in Australia in looks and sound, and hailed by many critics as being as good vocally as Freddie.
Now for the first time anywhere in the world, Thomas Crane - with his hot band Bohemian Rhapsody - brings back to life the visual excitement, sound and stage energy as witnessed at Wembley 1986.
You will hear all the great hits like We Will Rock You, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, We Are The Champions, Radio Ga Ga, A Kind of Magic, I Want To Break Free, Another One Bites the Dust, Bohemian Rhapsody.
Ted Mulry Gang iconic seventies pub rock band are hitting the road with the "This ones for Ted" tour and will see all original members together for the first time in 25 years. The Bridge Hotel is the perfect venue for the first reunion show as the band was one of Australia's hardest working pub bands.
With the passing of Ted Mulry in 2001 it is only fitting that his younger brother Steve fill his shoes. Steve sang 2 songs with the band at the Gimme Ted benefit in 2001 and got the thumbs up from big brother. As Ted was also the bass player the band has acquired the services of original ACDC bass player and good friend Mark Evans.
Drummer Herm Kovac announced, "The band is excited to do some shows and we feel Steve and Mark is the perfect fit.
The Bridge is the ideal Rock and Roll venue to start playing again".
The band had a string of hits in the seventies with Jump In My Car hitting the number one spot forty years ago.
Other hits like Darktown Strutters Ball, Crazy, My little Girl, Jamaica Rum, Heart of Stone and many others will feature in what promises to be a great night of Rock and Roll.
‘Classic nonsense… Stand-up comedy at its best’ (Scotsman). No gimmicks, just great craic! ‘Consistently brilliant… It gets no better than this… Hilarious’ (Time Out).
Absolutely 80s Band celebrates 11years of touring with their ‘1 Louder Tour‘. Without doubt, the 80s has been the most memorable and massive decade of music. Direct from the 80s and the Australian ‘Countdown Era’ these idols of the Oz music scene are touring in 2017 in one big show!
The Absolutely 80s Band features some of Australia’s favourite pop icons: Uncanny X Men’s Brian Mannix, Kids in the Kitchen’s Scott Carne, Boom Crash Opera’s Dale Ryder & WaWaNee's Paul Gray play all of their big hits including ‘Everybody Want to Work’, ‘Change in Mood’, ‘Onion Skin’, ‘Stimulation’, ‘50 Years’, 'Current Stand’, ‘Best Thing’, ‘Sugar Free’ and loads more chart-toppers. Bootleg Beach Boys perform selections of classic hits, & cult favourites, from California's most famous band. From surf themed anthems such as "Surfin' Safari" & "Surfer Girl" to classic muscle car memorable's like "Shut Down" & "Fun Fun Fun", the band have gathered an impressive repertoire of west coast, harmony laden songs, that evoke the spirit and essence of the pursuit of the 1960's American dream. Don't be fooled by the groups admittedly tongue in cheek name, this band consists of a well seasoned line up of multi-instrumentalists and vocalists.
The brain child of Joe Mullins (Beatles for Sale, Inertia 66, The Last Waltz) who serves as the groups fastidious musical director (as well as playing an impressive array of instruments). Joe also voices the sweet tones of Al Jardine & Bruce Johnson. Damian Butler (plays Levon Helm inThe Last Waltz & also plays in Now that's Live!) plays Drums & percussion, giving the band that infectious '60's beat, and voices the parts of Dennis Wilson & Mike Love to boot. Mark Maguire & Joe Leech (Bipolar Empire & Lunar) add the sweet harmonies that make The Beach Boys so instantly recognisable, & play lead guitar & Bass respectively. Between them they capture the vocal resemblance of Al Jardine, Bruce Johnson & Mike love, a mean feat considering the vocal range of their calibre! Fran King (The Classic Beatles, The Get Back Show, & Edisons) adds the high register of Brian & Carl Wilson to the combo, playing Bass & Acoustic guitar. The band tackle such classics as "In my room, God only knows, GoodVibrations, Help me Rhonda" in their hit heavy set, but also pay homage to the genius of Brian Wilson in the form of selections from the seminal "Pet Sounds", and cult favourites from the legendary "Smile" album. This blend of 5 vocals & infectious sun soaked gems, makes for a memorable night of some of the finest music committed to tape over four decades. You'll most assuredly have fun fun fun till the bar calls last drinks again! A night not to be missed!
