The Castle Hill RSL Rifle Club was formed to promote Small bore target shooting in the Castle Hill area. The Club operates on the second and fourth Sunday of each month except for a 6-week break at Christmas. Shooting starts at 9.00am and participants normally shoot up to 4 details of 25 minutes each. Shooting is completed by 11.30am. The clubhouse to is available for members to socialise. The Club shoots at the Hyland Park Rifle Range at 2A Hyland Road, Greystanes.
Club fees are $50 per year and range fees are $5.00 per day/event for seniors (50% discount for juniors). Membership within the Castle Hill RSL Group is a requirement of the Rifle Club. Shooting members are required to hold a current NSW Firearms License Category A. This allows the use of 0.22 calibre rifles and air rifles. Access to 50 metre and 20 metre ranges is available.
Advice on obtaining a firearms licence can be provided. Club rifles, stands and bags are available at no cost and ammunition can be provided for those with a firearms licence or those trying the sport with a valid P650 application. Contact the Rifle Club to make a booking.
