Sub Branch

Welcome to the Castle Hill & District RSL Sub-Branch page. We are a Sub-Branch of THE RETURNED AND SERVICES LEAGUE OF AUSTRALIA (NEW SOUTH WALES BRANCH).

Current Office holders are:

We meet for a General Meeting on the second Monday each month (except January) at 7.30 pm at the Castle Hill RSL in Castle Street, Castle Hill. On completion we have some finger food and beverages as we socialise. Our Annual General Meeting, which includes elections, is held on the first Monday in March each year at 8.00 pm and we have food and beverages on completion.

We also have Morning Teas on one Saturday at 10.30 am at the Club in February, May and August for the members and those who are not able to attend evening meetings and partners are welcome. The scones, cream and jam are great as is the tea and coffee. Similarly, we have a Christmas BBQ on a November Sunday at a subsidised cost.

Commemoration

On the SUNDAY BEFORE ANZAC DAY each year we hold an ANZAC Sunday Parade through Castle Hill at 9.00 am and then a service in the park. If the weather is bad we have a smaller parade and service at the Club.

ANZAC DAY is commemorated by a Dawn Service in the park on Old Northern Road at 6.00 am on 25th April, rain, hail or shine. After the service those who attend may avail themselves of a free Breakfast at the Club and those intending to participate in the Annual March, in the CBD, can catch transport provided by the Sub-Branch at 8.00 am with a return bus at 2.00 pm.

We also hold a commemorative lunch most years in June for members and their partners, including service widows/widowers, at a nominal cost.

Excursions

On an occasional basis we arrange subsidised trips to places of interest for members & partners.

We also sponsor a Day Club for older people on Mondays.
