Give Back

Give Back is an initiative run by Castle Hill RSL that recognises individuals who contribute to the community.

There are so many ways people contribute to the community, including:

  • Reading to children at your local school
  • Building toys for sick kids
  • Coaching kids sport
  • Giving blood
  • Rescuing wildlife
  • Knitting for the children’s hospital
  • Being a Lion
  • Cleaning up rubbish at local parks
  • Being a surf lifesaver
  • Collecting food for the homeless
  • Fostering children
  • Being a pink lady
  • Leading a youth group
  • Being a bush fire volunteer
  • Organising a walking group
  • Building a vegetable garden in your neighbourhood
  • Being on the board of a local community organisation
  • Being a Rotarian
  • Organising recycling projects
  • Helping with Meals on Wheels
  • Mentoring young leaders
  • Coaching business people

Give Back rewards an outstanding community member after their nomination has been put forward.

When the nomination has been received the nominator will be sent a confirmation in writing. It is then reviewed by the Castle Hill RSL’s ‘Giveback’ Committee. If the nomination satisfies the selection criteria the nomination it will be eligible for further consideration by the Castle Hill RSL ‘Giveback’ Committee.

All nominees will receive a letter of recognition.  Each winner will be presented their award at a special ceremony which will be held at Castle Hill RSL, including $500 cash which can be donated to a charity of their choice and a Crowne Plaza Norwest Dining and Accommodation Experience.

Winners will be published in participating newspapers in the Hills Shire and on the Castle Hill RSL website.
